The Commemorative Air Force Minnesota Wing, an organization committed to preserving American aviation heritage, announced its Spring Swing Big Band Hangar Dance is set for Saturday, June 8, 2019. Admission to the Swing Dance is $17.00 per person at the door or $14.50 in advance. Admission goes towards the museum and their restoration efforts. The CAF Minnesota Wing has been hosting the WWII themed dances since the early 1980's. This year they are working with local businesses such as Via's Vintage and Indeed Brewing Company. Those who dress up in WWII period clothes have the chance to win wonderful prizes including gift certificates from local vintage shops like Via's Vintage or a gift certificate towards a flight in one the museums WWII aircraft. Photo Courtesy of Mark Naumann The dance will also have 2 food trucks this year to give dancers a variety of food to choose from. They will be featuring Panini PinUps and The Outlaw Grill. The Roseville Big Band will be playing 1940's style Big Band museum and a dance lesson will be given by Terry & Cindy Gardner of TC Swing from 7-8 pm. So even if you have two left feet, the lesson will give you an opportunity to try your hand at swing dancing. In addition to the music, dancing, and food, there will also be an engine run-up with the museum's historic WWII aircraft and a chance for everyone to celebrate the Greatest Generation as we as we honor the 75th anniversary of D-Day. All proceeds to benefit the Commemorative Air Force Minnesota Wing and their WWII museum. To join in on the fun, please click here.
